Something for fun!!

Hi all...

 

I haven't scrapped something just for me for such a long time

but thought I would when I saw this sketch from Sketchabilities

 

I kind of liked the sketch and thought why not give it a go!!

So I did...here's my page

My cousin is going to kill me when she sees that I used these photos...hehehe

 

And then while I was on the go with doing something for fun....

 

I created this

Did this on a canvas...I was busting to create with one of my new Julie Nutting Doll Stamps. 

They are awesome to use and I think I am in love!!

ooohh how exciting!!!

(only because I think it came out looking pretty awesome)

 

To qualify for the Sketches With A Twist challenge, you need to do a layout using the sketch that Annette Gearside designed and you need to add the twist which is safety pins (I bent the pins into heart shapes)

To qualify for the Show Us Your Stuff challenge, you need to do a layout using the same sketch and add something handmade. My handmade is the background of my layout.

Include these things on your layout and you can upload your page onto both challenges...awesome!!!

I tried replicating the grungy trend that's around at the moment...think I pulled it off!!

I love the way it turned out.

Child's Play Challenges

Time for a new challenge over at Child's Play Challenges

Here is the inspiration picture

 

Everybody remembers the good old game of Operation!!

I remember jumping out of my skin when I touched the side and sent the buzzer off!!

So here is my take of the picture

 

I took inspiration from the colours of the game, the red border around the game and then cut the stars out and put paper behind them to be like the holes that the small pieces are sitting in.

Sketches With A Twist

GUESS WHAT!!!!

I am on another design team...

This one is called Sketches With A Twist and is full of awesome talent!!

I feel very lucky to be involved with these lovely group of ladies, some I have known for quite some time, some I am only just meeting now.

So, the object of this challenge blog is that we get given a sketch and then there is a twist to go with that sketch.

The month is nearly over but there is still time to get your page done....

The twist for this month is to only use cardstock as the base...easy!!

Black With 2

I have been very slack with my blogging for this last month :(

The month is nearly finished but there is still time to get your challenge in at Black With 2.

It's our much loved bird Simpson, and for those that know me well, yes there is a bird or 2 on my page (I'm not a fan of birds in scrapbooking, can't explain why)

Child's Play Challenges

Another challenge has gone live for Child's Play Challenges

Lots of colour and good memories associated with this one...

When Braiden was younger we used to watch this show all the time.

The songs and the characters and the bright colours are all very attractive for a young child and Braiden used to love it!!

So here is my page using the picture above

 

Once again I used all the colours as inspiration. 

And since it was Braiden that used to watch the show it's kind of fitting the photos are of him.

I also found a print up of Mickey Mouse so I printed it twice and coloured it to use it on the page.

Black With 2

The challenge for Black With 2 went up last week.

if you have a girl. I have only been blessed with four rowdy, noisy but totally lovable boys so I have to borrow girls for pages like this.

BW2 is on the look out for new and exciting Designers to join our team ..we are after scrapbookers and card makers to come on a 6 month journey with our amazing blog challenge . 
Your requirements will be to have a blog and FB 
Be able to commit to 1 project each month and be on time every time , promote our challenge where possible on your blog and facebook page and be an active member of our secret FB group where we discuss themes colours and all sorts of scrappy fun . From time to time we may do a swap eg tags and cards in the like, you will be required to join in on these such promotions . so if you think you have what it takes to be able to work with a dominant BLACK background and just a few colours then send us 3-4 examples of your work plus a little about yourself to blackwith2@hotmail.com
